When High Achievement Starts to Feel Heavy
I specialize in working with high achieving teens and adults across California who are managing anxiety, pressure, and the mental load that comes with constantly performing at a high level.
Many of the clients I work with don’t necessarily feel like something is “wrong”, but they do feel overwhelmed, overextended, or stuck in patterns of overthinking, stress, or burnout.
Therapy is a space to slow that down, understand what’s happening underneath it, and build a more sustainable way of functioning.
Who I Work Best With
Therapy works best when there is openness, curiosity, and willingness to engage in the process.
I work best with clients who are:
Motivated for change (even if they’re not sure what that looks like yet)
Open to reflection and collaboration
Willing to actively engage in therapy, both inside and outside of sessions
You don’t need to have everything figured out before starting, just a willingness to begin.
For Teens
Many of the teens I work with:
Put intense pressure on themselves (sometimes more than anyone else does)
Feel anxious before tests, games, performances, or presentations
Overthink things, or shut down when they feel overwhelmed
Seem “fine” on the outside, but something doesn’t feel quite right underneath
These are often high-achieving students who care deeply about doing well, but feel a lot of internal stress while trying to keep up.
Sound familiar?
For Adults
Many of the adults I work with:
Are successful, but feel like their brain is always “on”
Replay conversations, decisions, or worst-case scenarios
Work in high-demand fields such as tech, healthcare, or other performance-driven environments
Are starting to feel burned out, even if they’re still functioning at a high level
Often, these clients are used to being the one who holds everything together - at work, at home, or in their relationships - but feel that it takes more effort than it should.
